Gary G. Hees was an educator, engineer, and US. Marine Corps Veteran. Upon his untimely passing in 1997, his estate funded the beginning of The Hees Family Foundation. ​In the Beginning, The HFF focused mainly on educational scholarships and donations to larger non-profit entities. As the next generation of leadership took the helm of charitable donations, a new formula emerged. Now, while still contributing to educational scholarships, we are exploring new horizons by contributing to other new, struggling, unique, or locally owned organizations. The HFF is now able to provide funding to several smaller organizations instead of trying to water a tree with a water dropper.   

 

​Since 1997, the HFF has contributed over $750,000 to major non-profits, for educational scholarships and most recently to local and startup non-profits.
